The ending epilogue of the movie stated that George Jung was serving a sentence in Otisville Federal Prison in Mount Hope, New York, where he would be held until 2015. 2015 has already arrived, but Jung was actually released early from prison on June 2, 2014. He is said to be living in a halfway house in California under the terms of his probation.

The movie's concluding epilogue claims "Kristina Sunshine Jung has not yet visited her father". Since the film's release in 2001, reports have been ambiguous as to whether or not George Jung's daughter eventually came to visit him.

Rumors circulated that his daughter came to visit him in 2002, but these rumors are unconfirmed. However, since George Jung's release from prison on June 2, 2014, reports have confirmed that he got in touch with his daughter over the phone, and have reportedly reconciled.
