Keshet Beefs Up U.K. Creative Team

London — Keshet U.K., part of Keshet Intl., has made two key senior appointments as it seeks to grow its U.K. production ambitions. Ashley Blaker joins the team as head of comedy and Kevin Mundye as head of U.K. formats and global consultant.

Mundye will represent and adapt Keshet’s entertainment and factual entertainment formats for U.K. broadcasters, while Blaker will look after Keshet’s comedy slate in the U.K. They will also work alongside Keshet Media Group’s VP content, Ran Telem, and U.K. creative consultant, Dave Morley, to develop new original properties for U.K. television.

Blaker has over 15 years’ experience in comedy and was most recently at John Stanley Prods. where he co-created and co-wrote the forthcoming BBC One series “Pompidou.” He has also co-created, co-written and produced two series of “The Matt Lucas Awards” as well as producing several new series

From Spaced To The World’s End: The Connecting Cast Of The Cornetto Trilogy – Part Two

This weekend see’s the release of The World’S End, the final installment of Edgar Wright’s ‘Three Flavours Cornetto‘ trilogy. You’ll notice several themes, motifs and jokes are woven between all three films, but none are more evident than the cast. Wright and Pegg have a proclivity for casting their mates, going all the way back to Spaced. And with chums like these, who could blame them.

David Walliams admits he and Matt Lucas have always had a difficult working relationship. The comedy duo have worked together on hit shows such as 'Rock Profile', 'Little Britain' and 'Come Fly With Me' but David admits their partnership hasn't always been easy because they have different work ethics. Alan Carr, David Walliams form Fake That
A group of five well-known comedians have formed a spoof version of Take That for Red Nose Day. Alan Carr, David Walliams, Catherine Tate, James Corden and John Bishop have agreed to perform for one night only as Fake That in aid of Comic Relief. The sketch will also see the real members of Take That judge the five comedians on their high-energy performance, which will include props, costume changes and tricky choreography. Walliams, who will be imitating Howard Donald for the first time since his Rock Profile series with Matt Lucas, said that rehearsals for the dance routine were harder than he expected. Rupert Grint: Rupert Possibly Attached to “Come Fly With Me” On BBC Next Month!
