Trivia

The Japanese LD release features the bonus Big Bear vs. Cheng Sinzan match not available in the U.S. VHS release. It is, however, included in the Fatal Fury: Double Impact DVD as an Easter Egg. The scene is not available in English, but subtitles can be activated while viewing.

To activate it, go to the Extra Stuff menu, highlight "Conceptual Drawings." Then, hit the Right button on your remote. The cursor appears in Terry's eye. Hit Select to access the "Joe vs. Big Bear" fight, a scene that was not featured in the U.S. release of Fatal Fury 2. See more »

So-So story feels like filler before the next movie.
8 January 2000 | by (The Training Grounds) – See all my reviews

That just about describes it. Good fight scenes and good character's but (even though the story had a plot) it just seemed like an empty lead in. The best thing is 2 of the subplots: The relationship between Andy and a beautiful and tough female martial artist (more of a comedy bit at times), and Terry taking in a boy inspiring to be a fighter. Fun for fights but over all empty.
