‘Terminator Genisys’ Laeta Kalogridis And Patrick Lussier Make Skydance Deal

After scripting Terminator Genisys for Skydance Productions, Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier have been staked to what Skydance is calling a two year first-look plus consulting deal. David Ellison’s production/financing concern wants to integrate the duo in multiple lines of its growing event-fare business. There is a first look at all theatrical and digital projects developed by the team, along with consultancy on overall content.

“Laeta and Patrick are first-class storytellers and world builders” said Skydance CEO David Ellison. “The work they have done to help us create the new Terminator trilogy is simply phenomenal and is only the beginning of the stories we are going to tell together. I am honored to welcome them into the Skydance family.”

Josh Hutcherson, Gerard Butler: See 5 awkward movie audition tapes

If Eddie Redmayne is lucky, his unsuccessful Lord of the Rings audition tape - which he treated us to a rendition of this week - will never see the light of day.

Sadly, some actors aren't so fortunate...

1. Josh Hutcherson

If nothing else, this audition is certainly… elaborate. A pre-Hunger Games, and inexplicably spotty, Josh Hutcherson went up for the lead in The Amazing Spider-Man – a role which eventually went to Andrew Garfield.

It's not the most cerebral of auditions. In three minutes, Josh only manages to say "Thanks" and "Late for class", followed by another "Thanks".

Not that it's important when your tape features you beating up three men, doing a backflip and jumping about seven foot in the air. Backwards.

2. Gerard Butler

Or is that Ross Noble? Sporting offensive amounts of eyeliner and a dodgy accent, Gerard Butler gave this pretty bad audition for the role of Dracula in Wes Craven's 2000 movie, »
