They ruined a good thing, 28 March 2001
Author: Willow192 from Orlando, Florida

This used to actually be a good show. I loved it when Dave Holmes hosted it and Laura was the co-host. It's hilarious watching people get on stage and make total fools of themselves. Every now and then you actually come across some people that can sing and dance. But then...they had to move the show to Las Vegas. And as if that's not bad enough, they had to get former 'New Kid' Joey McIntyre to host it. Is it just me or does this guy have the biggest ego you have ever seen? It's not like he had any real hits solo. And they have that Vegas singer come out singing "Joey Joey Joey" and Joey standing there smirking like an idiot. Then they have that new guy doing the same thing as Laura used to do, only this way is corny and only appealing to 10 year olds who get a big laugh out of men wearing airplane hats and singing off key. If that's not tacky enough, they have half-naked-stripper-like women wearing feathers and doing the can can in the background. Joey is constantly trying to sing the songs and it's horrible because the man cannot sing! They also always have the same sexist judges on every single time, and they judge on overall performance and not style and accuracy like that did before. Why oh why did they get rid of Dave? Joey should be shot. They need to bring Dave back to the show or cancel it. I hope it's not like this next season.
