Competent Thriller
29 December 2010 | by (london) – See all my reviews

For some reason i have always remembered the name of this thriller in the "Scotland Yard" series. My notes show that i saw this at the ABC Golders Green on January3rd 1961 in a double bill wit The Miracle.I didn't think much of The miracle but found this to be a competent thriller.I sat in the circle for which i paid the grand sum of 4/-(20p).I have to say that if they used the real Dover Road it has changed a lot since then No longer a 2 lane winding road it is a 6 lane motorway.Geoffrey Keen plays the Chief Inspector prior to his fame in TV drama series.Leonard Sachs is featured better remembered as the Chairman in the Gold Old Days. The plot is nothing to write home about, mainly about a murder arising from a bank raid.Incidentally the exterior of the Paris Pullman Cinema is featured.
