While Keanu Reeves moved on from "Bill & Ted" to conquer Hollywood (unfortunately), the career of Alex Winter is much more interesting to me. His style of comedy is completely berserk and a living definition of a cartoon come to life. "Squeal of Death" is his finest work, a short that'd make Tex Avery proud. The effects and animation are especially impressive and innovative (fans of early Sam Raimi should check this out). The storyline is completely manic and the kind of material perfect for a short film. If this was any longer, it would've run out of steam quickly. However, the 15 minute running time is perfect. Its briskly paced and overloaded with jokes, not all of which work but the next ones up right when the last one ended (just like vintage Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker). Fans of demented underground films and absurd humor will eat this one right up. (8/10)
