Sharon Osbourne has ruled out another return to The X Factor.

The 61-year-old - who made a return to the ITV show for its tenth series last year - said that although she loves the show, she has to put family and Us commitments first.

Asked if she would consider filling the one remaining spot on this year's panel, Osbourne told Loose Women: "No, no, no, you can't go back again. No.

"Love the show, it's become a part of British culture, everybody loves it, you can't help but get pulled into it but no, it's too much."

She added that juggling her commitments in the Us and UK proved too much last year: "I'd lose my job in America because they let me out for one season. I'd wake up in hotel rooms and not know where I was. Also I've got a family so I can't do it. »

Denise Welch hits out at Myleene Klass over Loose Women comments

22 May 2014 1:58 PM, PDT | Digital Spy | See recent Digital Spy - TV news news »

Denise Welch has hit out at Myleene Klass over comments she made about Loose Women.

Welch - who quit the ITV talk show in October last year following a row with producers over changes to the programme - took to Twitter to say how disappointed she was in Klass, who claimed the show was previously "too ranty and misogynistic" before she joined in January.

Klass had told the Daily Mail: "I love Loose Women. It's nice to be able to articulate and get things out there. But I feel it was getting a bit misogynistic, a bit post-menopausal or pre-menopausal and ranty.

"That's not how women should be represented so it's nice they've refreshed the panel and we can talk about politics, fashion designers and what else is going on in the week."

After reading the comments, Welch tweeted: "Disappointed @KlassMyleene @McGiff. Sadly ratings suggest most viewers don't agree with you. »

Colin Salmon has revealed that he has found it hard to get acting roles in the UK.

The British actor - who has recently appeared in Us shows 24: Live Another Day and Arrow - explained why many UK stars have chosen to find work in America.

He told ITV's Loose Women: "It's been really hard here in Britain for actors and therefore we've had to up our game.

"I think we have incredible voice coaches now because it's all muscle memory. We are trained a different way. It's not like we're imagining it, we know, we're specific. We know the areas."

He continued: "I've worked with Cicely Berry from the Royal Shakespeare Company, the best voice coach in the world, and Paul Robeson, so we have all the backstory.

"You've got the young actors - I'm about to do Musketeers - and the young guys on that, the discipline level is another level. »

Jamelia has called for the BBC to sack Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson.

The singer-turned-presenter told the audience at ITV's Loose Women today (May 2) that she believes the corporation should "exercise zero tolerance" towards the 54-year-old, after footage emerged allegedly showing him uttering a racist term.

Jeremy Clarkson poll: Should he be fired by the BBC?

"He is very aware of the deep-rooted negative connotations associated with that word and whether you mumble it, whether you say it, it is not on," she explained.

"It is not acceptable and it is deeply offensive to too many people. He has got to go."

Barack Obama: the Cool Dad president

12 March 2014 6:40 AM, PDT | The Guardian - TV News | See recent The Guardian - TV News news »

Barack Obama has guested on Zach Galifianakis's weirdo talk show Between Two Ferns, a clear play for a trendy young voter base – and it's not the first time he has targeted a demographic so cannily

Barack Obama became the latest celebrity to appear on Zach Galifianakis's occasional talkshow Between Two Ferns, and it's a pretty far-out political appearance by any standards.

As ever, Galifianakis plays a ruddy-faced, quietly boiling version of himself, prodding his guest's most obvious pressure points with self-hating irritation at the whole chatshow charade. It fits into the outsider online comedy realm of Tim and Eric, with whom he memorably made the masterclasses in deadpan surrealism A Vodka Movie and Just 3 Boyz – and as such it's a very odd place to find the commander-in-chief.

This is Cool Dad Obama, the guy who doesn't quite get pop culture but whose game attempts and charisma mean we fawn over him anyway. »

ITV's 'puffer fish' strategy is both an offensive and defensive move

18 February 2014 10:00 AM, PST | The Guardian - TV News | See recent The Guardian - TV News news »

Launches of ITV Encore and ITVBe are aimed at reaching new audiences and protecting its core TV advertising business

ITV's first channel launches for nearly a decade have been attributed to a "puffer fish" strategy – protecting its core TV advertising business against expansion by rivals, including the BBC.

ITV Encore, a pay-tv channel launching in the summer and exclusive to Sky subscribers for an undisclosed period, and free-to-air ITVBe – launching in late 2014 and the new home of The Only Way is Essex – will be the broadcaster's first new channels since CiTV in 2006, at least partly because of the previously parlous state of its finances.

ITV has been galvanised into action partly by rivals' channel launches.

While much of ITV's commercial resurgence in the past couple of years has focused on the revitalisation of production business ITV Studios, the importance to the broadcaster's livelihood in selling TV ads cannot be overstated. »
