Storyline

"Her name is Claire Redfield. We caught her tresspassing in our Paris lab facility ten days ago. She apparently infiltrated the complex looking for her lost brother, Chris Redfield..." Set just three months after Resident Evil 2 and 3, Claire flies to Europe to search for Chris and end Umbrella's Bio-Weapon creations, right at the source. Umbrella's HQ in France. Unfortunately, Claire is abducted and taken to a island in South America and finds that the virus mutations have happened on this island as well. While Chris, hoping to find out more in Europe, somehow manages to turn up there as well. As for the island it is known that the island is a prison, called Rockfort Prison (on Rockfort Island amazingly). Written by Brian Bonilla

Trivia

First Resident Evil game to use fully 3D environments. All games before this (besides Resident Evil Survivor, which is a light gun spin-off ) used pre-rendered backgrounds. Pre-rendered backgrounds are pretty much a still image or painting. The game developers insert invisible walls into the background to give the illusion that the game characters are actually interacting with the background. See more »

Goofs

The opening scene that shows Claire's capture has her somehow avoiding death by machine gun fire coming from a pursuing helicopter. Yet the machine gun is mounted on the left side of the helicopter which is pointed directly at Claire's side as she's running from it. Simultaneously, Claire is able to out run the helicopter as it is strafing after her. See more »

good resi game but not perfect
30 March 2004 | by (bognor regis england) – See all my reviews

code veronica was released on dreamcast and ps2 sometime ago and i thought it was a good game but it fell short of other resi's like zero and nemesis the playability is just like other resi's but i did not like the music and graphics as much as the others the zombies looked a lot worse than in the gamecube remake but the monsters like the bandersnatchers were very cool the bad guy alfred ashford is a great resident evil badguy alexia is amazing and very cruel and its good to see wesker back he looks so cool in those shades the game its self dose not really add anything new but can still muster up a breathtaking end movie and a good battle mode here's hoping the gamecube version adds a little more i'd give this 88%
