Storyline

"Her name is Claire Redfield. We caught her tresspassing in our Paris lab facility ten days ago. She apparently infiltrated the complex looking for her lost brother, Chris Redfield..." Set just three months after Resident Evil 2 and 3, Claire flies to Europe to search for Chris and end Umbrella's Bio-Weapon creations, right at the source. Umbrella's HQ in France. Unfortunately, Claire is abducted and taken to a island in South America and finds that the virus mutations have happened on this island as well. While Chris, hoping to find out more in Europe, somehow manages to turn up there as well. As for the island it is known that the island is a prison, called Rockfort Prison (on Rockfort Island amazingly). Written by Brian Bonilla

Trivia

This was last of the canonical Resident Evil titles to use the names of actual gun manufacturers (excluding Magnum) and firearms within the game. All the subsequent Resident Evil titles (Resident Evil remake, Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil 4) used generic or made-up names for their weapons (i.e: Silver Serpent, Broken Butterfly, Blacktail). Goofs

When Steve shoots at the monster attacking Claire, he fires his twin Lugers at the monster at a rapid speed. Yet, the moment the player controls him with the Lugers during the combat mode mini-game, Steve fires the Lugers at a slow and ineffective pace. Also, the monster he does shoot is severely affected by the bullets during the cut-scene, but during combat, the creature is able to move and even attack once hit by the Lugers. See more »

Great Biohazard (Resident Evil) Game
17 February 2002 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This is one of the best of the series, ranking up there with Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (Or Biohazard: Last Escape) The game has a very good storyline in which you play as Claire Redfield in the search for her brother,Chris Redfield (Whom you probably know from the original Resident Evil) It is as scary as the other Resident Evil, and contains alot more cutscenes.

My Rating: **** out of ***** Stars (Rating based on comparison to other videogames)
