I'm tempted to say TOO MUCH SEX has too little sex. Too little to compensate for the lameness of the comedy and for the amateurishness of the actors. But maybe it's a question not of too little sex but of too little sexiness. The female lead is plain, in a rather masculine-looking way. That's no sin, except in a comedy that has no other kind of charm to offer. The best that can be said is that it attempts to point a respectable if shopworn moral: that the answer to the fear of death is the redemptive power of love. It's sort of like ALL THAT JAZZ rewritten by a bunch of not particularly intelligent or talented high-school dropouts.

Not all that bad
sugardude15 March 2003
Well, it's no masterpiece, but still a nice distraction. It's humor, although somewhat childish, is refreshing and keeps the plot going throughout the movie. The plot itself is also quite fresh and original and all the R rated scenes certainly can't hurt this film. All in all, if you're looking for a deep spiritual film, look elsewhere. But if you're looking for a pleasant way to spend an hour and a half, I doubt you'll be disappointed.
Nice Surprise

During a recent bout of insomnia, I ended up channel surfing and landed on this movie. It quickly caught my attention and the next thing I knew, I had watched the whole movie. The fact I made it through the entire movie so late at night is saying something! It was a very pleasant surprise. I'm not saying it's a masterpiece but I did enjoy it.
