Sex & Nudity

There is are several references to "hussies." Pictures of ballroom dancers are displayed on Jud's wall, and they can be seen. No complete nakedness. There is quite of bit of suggestive conversation relating to and coming from Ado Annie. The second half of the dream sequence has several very suggestive parts, both in dancing costumes and in Jud's behavior to Laurie. There are subtle jokes about Laurie and Curly regarding their wedding night. Various suggestive comments were dropped throughout the movie, but most would pass over younger children's heads.

Violence & Gore

There are several fist fights, two kife fights, and a gun fight. No blood is ever shown.

Profanity

Three uses of "hell" and a few of "damn", as well as "oh my God."

Various characters smoke throughout the movie. Curly drinks a beverage of Jud's that is so "toxic" that it makes him gag. Others drink various alcoholic beverages is mugs throughout the film.
