The scene in which a male Postosuchus urinates to mark its territory in the first episode garnered a large amount of negative criticism towards the show. Some journalists were angry because the claim was too speculative, whereas many scientists noted that since the animal was an archosaur and lived in the desert, it wouldn't have been able to urinate, but excrete all of its waste in one (just like modern day archosaurs, birds and crocodilians). Every pterosaur (flying reptile) in the series folds its wings incorrectly -- sideways. The bone structure only allowed these animals to turn their hands outwards to the sides, rather than frontwards, and this allowed them to neatly fold back their long, wing-supporting fingers, but not to the side. This documentary is absolutely fantastic. I was really astonished that you can make with so less money such amazing fx. Especially the scenes of the birth of the Diplodocus babies or the sad story of the big flying dinosaur were wonderful and breathtaking. Well the only flaw was: It was to short!!
