sting in The tale
5 April 2010 | by (london) – See all my reviews

This is one of the titles made by Merton Park studios to go out as a supporting feature on the ABC circuit. It is certainly one of the best.Poor Maurice Kaufman is married to Faith Brook. She is shown at the beginning to be allergic to bees.Guess what the gardener keeps in the garden?Yes bee hives what else.Poor Maurice keeps on getting it in the neck from his wife because she doesn't want him to continue with his flying. She maliciously interferes in the life of everyone whom she comes in touch with, which includes her brother ,the housekeeper and her father and a nurse who helps Maurice to recuperate after his car accident. It turns out she is a psycopath.Everyone in this film has the motive to do away with her. Then the bees disappear from the hive.Guess what happens next? There is so much plot in this film but they manage to get through it in 1 hour.I was riveted by this and it deserves an airing to show how good these small films could be.
