Good Start for those New to Universal

Universal Horror (1998)

*** (out of 4)

Kevin Brownlow documentary about the Universal horror films and the films that influenced them. I'm got a pretty good knowledge of this subject and the documentary really didn't tell me anything I didn't already know so that's the only weakness here. If someone isn't too familiar with the history of the studio then this is a great place to start even though some of the information (especially the Lon Chaney stuff) has since been proved incorrect.

Either way, if you aren't too familiar with the horror films of Universal, this is a good place to start.
