Spike and Jet's new bounty is a man named Abdul Hakim, who is wanted for stealing a briefcase with a lab subject in it. He won't be easy to spot, especially when he attempts to hide his identity. When a thief steals Hakim's briefcase, he discovers it's a Welsh Corgi dog that's only worth a pocket full of Woolongs. The thief tries to sell the dog to a pet shop, but can't get a good bargain on the K-9. Now Spike must find Hakim and the dog, but the question remains: what is special about this Welsh Corgi?

Faye is stranded on the orbit of Jupiter with no fuel or money. Unable to travel, she impatiently waits for someone to arrive near her route. Eventually, she finds a ship drifting by only to see it damaged with a dying pilot. The pilot gives her a briefcase and tells her to go to the I.S.S.P with it. Meanwhile, Jet and Spike track down a bounty head named Morgan at a restaurant, who heads an Eco-terrorist association. Their paths converge and the three meet again as the episode progresses.

Spike, Jet, and Faye go after another bounty named Decker. Spike has a hunch that Decker would be blending in at a bar. Course the bar he went to is full of all the bounty hunters in town. Spike meets a female Space Trucker name V.T. Very few people know what her real name is. So every time they try to guess what it is they'd have to bet on it. If they loose she gets the money, if they win they receive all the money she won on the bets. Meanwhile Faye found Decker at an ice cream parlor, only to discover that this bounty is known for using high explosives for weapons. And the chase is on to catch Decker.

Season 1, Episode 8: Waltz for Venus

A commerical aircraft is about to land on Venus. But it got hijacked by 3 hijackers. Spike and Faye are on the aircraft, because those 3 hijackers are bounties worth 500,000 wongs each. They attack and single handed the hijackers and collect their bounty award money. Roco Bonnaro, who was a passenger on that aircraft, and is interested in learning the Jeet Kune Do skills that Spike did on the hijackers. After giving Roco some basics on how to master the move, Roco gives Spike a package to hold on to for him. Spike later finds out that the package contains a plant that's suppose to be very valuable. Not only that but Rocco happens to have a bounty on him as well. Spike goes to find Roco and find out what this is all about.

The Bebop crew heads for Ganymede. Which was Jet's home when he was still a cop for the I.S.S.P. Spike and Faye turn in a recently captured bounty named Baker Panchorero. While Jet goes to the "La Fin" Bar to see his old girlfriend Alisa, who left him years ago. Meanwhile when Jet is reminiscing about old times with Alisa, Spike finds out that Alisa's current boyfriend, Rhint has a bounty on his head for murder. But will Jet have the dignity to hunt down Alisa's own boyfriend?

After getting swindled by Faye, Jet goes to find a blanket in the storage bay. While there, he is bitten by an unknown creature. Not knowing what it was, he seeks help from Spike and Faye, who believe it is simply a rat. In a short time, the scenario becomes more serious than realized. Jet's injury becomes infected, and the rest of the crew begins to fear for their safety. Faye, Ein and even Ed are later bitten by the creature. Spike is the only one left and he must confront it or face possible death.

Season 1, Episode 15: My Funny Valentine

The Bebop crew is in need for money, so Jet decides to go catch a bounty head that's only worth 1,980 woolongs. The name of the bounty struck Faye in a way she hadn't felt for 3 years. To relieve her stress, she tells Ein a story revealing that she's older than she looks. She can only remember as far as 3 years ago, on 2068 A.D. where she awoke in a hospital. A doctor told her she's been in frozen coma for 54 years. The coma she was in preserved her age and youth so she's still 20 years old after all those years. Faye couldn't remember what exactly happened or how she ended up this way. The doctor told her they have no records, or files on her past life. So this is very confusing for her. And it takes her a long time to admit that she's no longer in the past she once knew. Faye doesn't have a social security number or any money making it difficult for her to leave the hospital. A man named Whitney Hagas Matsumoto helps her out by spending some time with her tell he finds a way for her to be able to leave the premises. After Faye is done with her story, Spike over heard it, but will it change his opinion on Faye?

But that was none of her business. Then an old partner of Jet's from the I.S.S.P.: Fad, calls him up and asked if he would team up with him for one last time. He's after a runaway ship that has an old enemy of Jet when he was still part of the I.S.S.P. A convict and ex-assassin name Udai Taxim. Who is the main reason why Jet resigned from the I.S.S.P. Jet didn't want to go at first but he wants to in order to get even with his past.

A package was sent to Faye unexpectedly. She left when she finds the package to be C.O.D. with no address so it remained unopened. Spike comes by, opens the package and finds a tape inside it. He and Jet had no idea what it was. So they went to a Video Maniac shop and a Tape expert told them it's a Beta Tape which was less common in the 20th Century. They were about to see what was on the tape, but let's just say that the Beta player isn't in good working order. So Jet and Spike are now on a quest to find out what's on the tape. Only trouble is a Beta Player is rare to find in the year 2071 A.D.

After playing a game of pool one evening, Spike walked right into an aftermath of agents getting killed by a large fat guy, in an opera suit, with an evil grin, and carrying deadly weapons. He attacks Spike like a madman, and laughs like it was a performance. Spike does all he could to defend himself, and barely got out of the fight alive, when the Fat Guy left when a cat came by. Spike wakes up on board the Bebop, all wrapped up in bandages. Jet told him, he'll go see Bob(the inside source of the ISSP) about the perpetrator that Spike encountered not long ago. The question is who the hell was it that attacked Spike?

Spikes scouts out for some food right till he runs into Teddy Bomber, a serial bomber who plants Teddy Bear bombs inside skyscrapers. Who in fact has a good bounty on his head. Spike tries to catch him right until he was cut off by Andy a bounty hunter who has all the characteristics of an average cowboy. He attempts to catch Teddy Bomber for himself, but Spike tells him that it's his bounty. Teddy Bomber easily escapes while the 2 hot headed bounty hunters argue. Spike tries to get Teddy at his next attempt, but Andy would be there for the same thing. It becomes a showdown on who's the real cowboy here. And how will Teddy Bomber get captured for his actions on using Teddy Bears for bombs?

Spike was flipping channels right till he got to one featuring a religious cult called "Scratch". Their leader is Dr. Londes, who portrays as an existing god. Those who became members of the cult, eventually commit suicide because Dr. Londes told them to. As for that a bounty is placed on Dr. Londes. Spike, Jet, and Ed look into this Scratch cult. Spike has no luck in finding out where Dr. Londes is, and Ed has no luck in finding any background data on the guy. It's as if he doesn't at all exist.
