Bullock Drops Rom-Coms

18 December 2002 | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Kooky movie star Sandra Bullock has said that she will quit romantic comedies after finishing work on her latest film Two Weeks Notice. The brunette actress wants to take a break from acting and concentrate on working behind the camera. Thirty eight-year-old Bullock says this decision is partly because she had such a great time working with her Two Weeks Notice co-star - Hugh Grant. Bullock says, "I've had the best time with Hugh. I would work with Hugh 24- 7." This declaration follows recent conflicting rumors that alleged the Hollywood pair were either fighting or involved in an on-set romance - both denied by the twosome. Miss Congeniality star Bullock plans to devote her time off to producing her TV program, George Lopez. »

Bullock to Balloon in Size

10 December 2002 | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Speed beauty Sandra Bullock is planning to pile on the pounds as she believes being stick-thin is not natural. The pretty American actress, who infiltrated a beauty pageant as part of her role in the hit comedy Miss Congeniality, is fed up trying to squeeze into the tiny clothes Hollywood bosses like to see their female stars in. So she's using a break from the jet set Tinseltown life style to help her bulk up. She says, "I'm going to shop, decorate and eat - I intend to get heavier. All clothes these days seem designed for girls like Kate Moss. I am a normal, healthy American woman. I can't get these clothes past mid-thigh." »

Julia Roberts: 'I Was Born To Love Danny'

23 July 2002 | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Newlywed Hollywood star Julia Roberts has appeared on American television to pay a gushing tribute to her new husband Danny Moder. Roberts married the cameraman in a secret ceremony at her New Mexico ranch on the Fourth of July. And speaking Monday for the first time since the romantic nuptials, the Runaway Bride told talk show host Diane Sawyer she was "born to love" Moder - calling him "a man among men, unselfish and all-encompassing." And Roberts even hinted that she may be ready to take a break from acting to start a family, telling the ABC show the couple planned to have kids "in due course." But she reserved most of her screen time to pay tribute to her new hubby - who she is convinced she was meant to marry. Julia gushes, "He is formidable. He is a man among men, unselfish and all-encompassing. He stands by the choices he made. He will never blame it on somebody else, and I have never seen anybody else do that. I hope there are some people who agree that I have done some good, some kind things in my life, but to really ultimately stand fully in a moment of realizing that I was born to love and to be the wife of this man." Roberts even used the interview to set the story straight about her relationship with ex-lover Benjamin Bratt. The couple split last year and neither has spoken openly about the reason behind the break-up. But the actress told Sawyer she harbors no ill feeling towards the Miss Congeniality actor - who married new love Talisa Soto in April (they're expecting their first child). She says, "All the better because he was unhappy and he left and moved along and found happiness." »

Benjamin Bratt's secret marriage to Talisa Soto has come as a shock to everyone - including his pal Sandra Bullock. Bullock, who co-starred with the Latin hunk in the comedy Miss Congeniality, was attending the New York premiere of her new movie Murder By Numbers on Tuesday, when she was asked about the good news by a reporter for the E! network. She replied, "Wait a minute, what? What good news?" When she was able to compose herself, she continued, "Talisa is an amazing woman and he did it quietly and the right way. I had no idea - but I knew it was coming. I'm so happy because she's a good woman - and sexy too. He's an okay looking guy too." Pinero co-stars Bratt and Soto were married in a low-key ceremony in San Francisco, California - just as they had announced their engagement. »

Actress Sandra Bullock is joining the big leagues in Hollywood after being offered $14 million for her next movie. The stunning brunette is close behind Julia Roberts and Cameron Diaz in becoming one of Tinseltown's highest paid actresses and is $2 million-a-movie ahead of Latina Jennifer Lopez.
