A great interesting drama!

I bought this tape because of Ruth White, the actress from Perth Amboy, New Jersey. I enjoyed her performance just as much as the stars, Eli Wallach, who plays her son Johnny Horton and his wife, Anne Jackson who plays Eadie Horton, his newlywed wife. I thought the drama was little in writing but I felt that the chemistry between Anne Jackson and her real-life spouse Eli Wallach were fascinating to watch. They have been together for a long time and is one of Broadway's best loved couples for a reason. They work very well together and with Ruth White playing the overbearing mother-in-law to Eadie long before Doris Roberts' perfected the role on "Everybody Loves Raymond." Ruth herself was never married or had children in her own life. She entered acting after caring for her own ill parents. She became very successful only to die at 55 years old. She did win an Emmy Award and earned a Tony Nomination. If she had lived, she would have garnered more awards and nominations. I always wonder with Ruth what might have been. She certainly held her own in this drama.
