A zombie outbreak, caused by an alien virus takes over an entire town. Three survivors, ex pro-wrestler John West, medical student Bill and the nerdy Max are collected up before they can escape and are thrown back into the quarantined town.
Definitely comedy before horror. This film is very silly and slapstick. Some hilarious, cheap and cheesy gore. Tons and tons and tons of gore! Looks like they shot the zombie makeup on with a paint gun it is so gacky and multi-colored. There are many creative zombie deaths including decapitations, various limb removals, one really nasty scene involving feces and much, much more! The characters are both intriguing and amusing particularly John West. Sure did dig that John West song and his memorabilia room!! There are some moments of absolute greatness here. I enjoyed this film thoroughly.
It was not completely without fault however. It gets somewhat repetitive and the film time probably could have been cut back. They also added, what I felt was an unnecessary epilogue. This minor criticism should not prevent you from seeing this great little micro-budget zombie flick packed full with fun, frivolity and plenty of gooey gore! The film is written, directed by and stars Pablo Parés and Hernán Sáez. I love their enthusiasm! Note to self; look for more Argentinian horror! I highly recommend this one and if you are a fan of films like Peter Jackson's "BAD TASTE" you will be thrilled to death.
