Digimon: Digital Monsters (TV Series 1999–2003) Poster

Trivia

The Name Kumamon is an English-Dubbed Name for Bearmon in Digimon World 3. There'll be a Confusion between the Human Spirit of Ice and the Rookie form of Grizzmon if they think of coming out with the English Versions of the remaining Digimon Movies (Mostly "Ancient Digimon Revival").

Juri's father was also going to be tied to the Yakuza in a prostitution ring leaving Juri to care for her younger sister.

Almost all villains in Digimon Adventure come back at least one more time after the presumed death. Devimon returned in Adventure 02 as a prisoner of the Dark Whirpool. He was released, and took over The Digimon Kaiser's creation Kimeramon. Etemon returned later in the Dark Masters arc, specifically Puppetmon's arc. He returned as MetalEtemon, and was beaten by a recently digivolved Leomon and Zudomon. Myotismon, perhaps the most infamous character when it comes to never dying, returned twice after apparently "dying". Myotismon returned in his own story arc as VenomMyotismon, and then later resurfaced as MaloMyotismon and confirmed that he was behind the events of Adventure 02. Machinedramon, the third dark master, also returned in the video game Anode/Cathode Tamer, where he merged with a dying Kimeramon in order to become Millenniummon. Devimon, Etemon, Myotismon, and Piedmon were all revived by Millenniummon in the game. Diaboromon, the main villain of Our War Game, also resurfaced later in the movie Revenge of Diaboromon. The only villains to officially die and never came back are MetalSeadramon, Puppetmon, and Apocalymon.

When Apocalymon was screaming, he self-mutilated himself before the kids (Hence Mimi covering her eyes). However, he regenerated with green bloodstains on him still. Despite his treatment in the dub, Apocalymon was more disturbed with a sense of vigilante justice for his pain. He also referred to himself as "We", likely as he had no one to talk too in the void and that he was created from the data of Digimon who were wipeout for being unable to evolve and exist in the next age of the Digital World (episode 1.53 "Now Apocalymon Part 1").

The pattern of Digimon has gone like this: Seasons 1 and 2 occurred in the Digital World, then the fighting moved over to the real world, then ended in the Digital World. Season 3 began in the real world, moved to the Digital World, and ended in the real world (episode 3.51 "Crimson Tides Part 2: Such Sweet Sorrow").

The most Noted of Asian myth are four Saint Beasts: Suzaku: Crimson phoenix of the South, Genbu: Dark tortoise of the north, Byakko: the white tiger of the west, and Seiryuu: the blue dragon of the east. Makuramon's shapeshifting powers are a wink of sort towards Kong, the Monkey King of the Chinese "Journey Westward" which was inspiration of shows like Dragonball, Monkey Magic, and few others. Makuramon's roles were from Kaorwu/Tabris of Evangelion, pretty much to fit in with the kids to further his own plans. There was a scene cut from the Japanese version of episode 1.08 "Evil Shows His Face" because it was indecent for younger American viewers (the Japanese culture has different views on what their children should be allowed to see). The scene takes place while the children are bathing in the mansion. Matt and Tai get out of the water to get Joe, who doesn't want to come in. Then Gomamon comes flying over the side (thanks to Palmon) and lands on Joe, knocking him out. During this time, none of the three boys are wearing anything, and you can see their rear ends.
