The Best Anime Show Ever!
7 September 2004 | by (New York City) – See all my reviews

"Digimon: Digital Monsters" used to be my favorite anime show back when it was it its heyday(seasons 1 and 2). I started watching it when it began back in 1999 on Fox and I found it to be way better than Pokemon. I don't care which one came first in Japan Digimon was way better than Pokemon. Here's why? Digimon had a better plot than Pokemons- catch a Pokemon, get a badge, and have a pathetic fight with team rocket. The characters on Digimon were also more realistic than those on Pokemon. They had real family problems-Izzy being adopted, Matt and T.K.'s parents being divorced, and Sora and her mother's relationship.

I found the first season of Digimon to be the best. I remember coming home from school with my sister and watching it. We couldn't wait to see the new episodes on Saturday. My favorite character was Sora and my sister's was T.K. I was really upset when this season ended but I was glad season two was coming. My favorite episodes from this season were: "Sora's Crest Of Love", "Playing Games", "Piedmon's Last Jest", "Evil Shows His Face", and "And So It Begins..."! Tho all the episodes in this season were great.

Season two was also pretty good. I think it was a good continuation of season one. I liked it how the digidestineds got older. I also liked the relationship between Matt(he's hot) and Sora. I also thought it was cool how they could go in and out of the digiworld everyday. My favorite episodes of this season were: "The Digiteam complete", "A Very Digi Christmas", and the three digi world tour episodes.

Season three and four, however, were not the same. I didn't like the fact that the old digidestineds were not on them. The digiworld was also different on them which I didn't like. I saw a few episodes of season three and about two episodes of season four. I couldn't stand this new stuff they called "Digimon". What happened to Tai and the gang?

In conclusion I give: Season 1 10/10 stars,

Season 2 9/10 stars,

Season 3 4/10 stars, and

Season 4 2/10 stars.

If you want to watch Digimon watch the first two seasons. I'm glad I can still catch the reruns of the first two seasons on ABC Family and Toon Disney.
