Last summer at Disney's D23 event, Pixar unveiled two new movies to their future roster: an untitled Peter Docter ("Up") project that would "go inside the human mind" (of a young girl it was later revealed), and another, an untitled effort about humans living alongside dinosaurs. This evening at CinemaCon (and via press release), the secretive company dropped some small, but key and previously-unrevealed details on the already announced films, plus another nugget - the announcement of a third new Pixar film.
First up, let's start with Peter Docter's project. His film, once presumed to be one of the already-dated 2013 and 2014 Pixar films, and described as "wildly ambitious," will now be set for the far-off release of June 19, 2015 (it must be ambitious!). Known as "The Untitled Pixar Movie That Takes You Inside The Mind," the film will be shepherded by "Up" producer Jonas Rivera. And that's all that's revealed there, »

It’s that time again… okay, it’s a little past that normal time, thanks to the Mix March Madness wrapup, but here are the preview materials for DC Comics releases for July 2012.
What’s on tap this month? More of the Before Watchmen books, with the debut of Ozymandias from Len Wein and Jae Lee, the conclusion of the Court of Owls storyline and crossover in all the Bat-books, and the debut of the done-in-one book, National Comics, featuring the New 52 Debut (coming right at you) of Eternity.
And in the white elephant of desire category, there’s the $300 statue showing the climactic scene from The Dark Knight Returns.
Once more, into the breach? Banzai!
As always, spoilers may lurk beyond this point.

In a story on Kristen Bell joining the cast of Jennifer Getzinger's cinematic adaptation of Neil Labute's play "Some Girls," The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively revealed that the actress-formerly-known-as-Veronica Mars will "provide the speaking and singing voice" as the lead in Disney's upcoming feature "Frozen," which means she will play the Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale character the Snow Queen (first published way back in 1845). Additionally, the trade states that Warner Bros. and Weed Road (Akiva Goldsman's WB-based production shingle) have picked up the forthcoming graphic novel "Bolivar" for Irish animator Kealan O'Rourke to write and direct.
Tucked away in the "Some Girls"/"Frozen" story is the tidbit that Chris Buck, a legendary animator who worked on everything from Brad Bird's "Family Dog" episode of "Amazing Stories" to "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" to "Little Mermaid," before co-directing Disney's lush 1999 animated feature "Tarzan" (with Kevin Lima), will direct. »

We predict there could be fireworks when they meet again. Jennifer Getzinger is on board to direct the adaptation, which Labute has handled himself. Also on Bell’s agenda is a role in Disney’s »

At the end of last year, Disney announced [1] that a film called Frozen would be the studio's animated offering for the Holiday 2013 window, and we quickly learned that the film is the latest incarnation of a project once called The Snow Queen, which has been in development for many years. When Frozen was formally announced, we did not know if it would be a new computer-animated effort, or done with more traditional hand-drawn techniques. Since a previous incarnation of The Snow Queen was meant to be a hand-drawn follow-up to The Princess and the Frog, we hoped Frozen would be hand-drawn. Disney has confirmed today, however, that Frozen will not be hand-drawn; the movie will be a 3D CG animated feature, and presented in stereoscopic 3D in theaters. A bit more background info is below. Here's what Peter wrote a couple weeks back when the title Frozen was announced: The »
