Pivotal scenes that take place in the woods are tinted blue, same as the woods scenes in Heathers (1988). In one scene Wichita says, "If you ever find yourself turning into one of those, eat some Drano." In Heathers (1988), Heather Chandler died from drinking Drano. See more »

BREAKFAST CLUB meets MEATBALLS.
4 July 2002 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

A group of teens and kids at a summer camp intermingle and make discoveries about themselves sexually and emotionally. Essentially THE BREAKFAST CLUB meets MEATBALLS, film is dramatically uneven but benefits from myriad moments of truth and perception; and we finally have a summer camp film which fully indulges in what ANYBODY watching a teen camp movie wants: SEX. It does so crudely yet perceptively. Good acting all around.

This one just premiered on video after debuting at Sundance a year and a half ago. Well worth the rental price.
