As I was watching this film, I couldn't help wondering if there was any sex education going on these days for the mentally challenged. I know there are ridiculous tempests over such education for those who aren't. Given that this film would never be taken seriously these days, it may be interesting as a time-capsule from the late 70's.
Otherwise, this film should definitely be viewed with an eye to the very real dilemma posed those who must try to raise and educate anyone much less the mentally-challenged.
It was funny in parts but much less so than I'd expected. The film is dead serious and, in my opinion, does hit its points rather well. In fact, it has something for people who aren't involved in sex education or with the mentally challenged.
The one part that struck me hardest was one of the last things the host said, "No one should use the body of an unwilling partner for their own pleasure. Unprotected and unplanned sexual intercourse is wrong. And no one need allow anyone to touch their bodies if they do not want them to."
