The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

There is a very brief reference to masturbation.

A man hires a prostitute, but not for sexual reasons.

A woman is briefly shown in her underwear and a t-shirt.

A brief shot of a man's butt as he runs out of the shower.

A man hears muffled moaning, but assumes it's the neighbors having sex.

There are many scenes throughout the film in which the main character is shown bare chested and occasionally in his underwear.

Violence & Gore

Several moments of mild violence.

8/10 - You don't notice most of the harsh language because of the fast moving story, however this is the main reason this film is R-Rated.

74 uses of "fuck".

23 uses of "shit".

Frequent uses of other crass words such as cock, prick, and crap.

Also contains one very strong use of cunt.

Leonard finds the prostitute he hired in a bathroom snorting cocaine.

Some of the characters drink in bars, and a man mentions that it's "beer o'clock".

None of the main characters smoke, but Burt (the inn clerk) is shown smoking in one scene.

One character is a drug dealer. Another character promises to sell him $200,000 worth of amphetamines.

Drugs/drug dealing is a big part in this film

The entire plot is about a man trying to find and kill the man who raped and killed his wife. Several flashbacks are shown of the rape/murder itself, some of them accompanied by startling noises.

Two men and a woman spitting in a glass of beer. That may be disgusting for many people(including me)

Total: 31/50 - Alright for anyone 14 or 15 and up
