this telenovela was aired in my home country Malaysia in 2003, on the channel "prima" of our satellite TV "astro". Malaysians are great fans of Spanish series, and this telenovela is one of my favourites.
the main characters were alejandro, a civil engineer working with his dad's firm; and Mariana, a nurse. alejandro was a widow with a daughter who was suffering with bad disease, the same disease that killed his wife. the little girl was admitted to hospital, where alejandro and Mariana met.
like any other telenovela, being lovers were never easy. obstacles came in forms of Alejandro's mum (blanca) who teamed up with a dr Tamara who treated alejandro's daughter. Tamara was also Mariana's boss, which did not make things any easier. meanwhile, alejandro's friend (Oscar) was also interested in Mariana.
being a hopeless romantic with confidence issues, alejandro expressed his feelings towards Mariana through anonymous love letters. things got complicated when Mariana was made to believe that the letters were written by Oscar, not alejandro...
this telenovela is definitely worth watching. there's so much more to expect than just the main character's love story. have fun!
