The hero of this story was king of that legendary country of Thule which is mentioned by several of the old historians and probably is the Orkney or Shetland Islands of to-day. It tells briefly of his disappointment and how in spite of the fact that he was surrounded by many good friends and was much loved of his subjects he divided his kingdom and keeping only the cup which had been given to him by his sweetheart started on a pilgrimage to find her soul.
