Storyline

It's a big time in Max's life. He's college bound with his friends and finally free of his embarrassing father as he strives to be a top contender for the X-Games. Unfortunately, Goofy loses his job and learns that he cannot get another job without a college degree. To his son's mortification, Goofy decides to join him in his campus to get that degree. Desperate to distract his father, Max talks him into joining the competing Gamma Fraternity team and introduces him to a wonderful librarian who shares his nostalgic love for 1970's pastimes. Unfortunately, things do not go according to plan as events put this father-son relationship to the test. Written by Kenneth Chisholm <kchishol@execulink.com>

Trivia

In the original version, there was a scene where Max and Goofy are saving Tank from the burning "X" logo that fell on Max and Tank during the X-Games Finals. This scene has been edited out of the film due to the terrorist attacks on September 11th 2001. Instead the movie skips straight from the part where The X logo collapsed to the part when Max, Goofy and Tank emerge from the smoke. See more »

Forgetting everything from the first
17 August 2007 | by (Quebec) – See all my reviews

^ Total nutter. The show may be mediocre/OK for some, but for those who loved the first movie, it's a complete bomb.

WHERE is Roxanne? And why has Max forgotten everything he learned from the first movie? There's no point questioning the chosen plot lines, like Goofy meeting a woman or the whole cliché college...thing, because the movie is already seven years old. But it helps to rant, and ask again, after an entire movie dedicated to getting the girl, WHERE is Roxanne!?

Also, I agree that humiliating Goofy further kinda irks me. I mean, people don't think Goofy is an embarrassment, that was the whole idea of the first movie! Goofy is a lot like my dad, my friends think he's amazing, but he always annoys me. In the end though, we are very much alike, and I have to accept that I'm a lot like him, and that it's OK, because it's cool to be like him. THATS the point! So why do they continue showing Goofy like he's some freak show?
