Lady Gaga’s Top 50 Hottest Outfits Of 2010

28 December 2010 6:00 AM, PST | VH1.com | See recent VH1.com news »

Hmmm, last year we counted down 100 of Lady Gaga’s Hottest Outfits, but this year only 50? Can’t blame the woman for taking it down a notch after her breakout 2009, though only in the case of Gaga would we even be suggesting that averaging about one jaw-dropping outfit a week is below the norm. Still, with The Fame Monster up for multiple Grammys, two singles hitting the Top 5 and another massive world tour in her wake, you could hardly say Gaga’s been lazy. And the release of Born This Way should mean 2011 will be even busier! Revisits Gaga’s year in freaky fashion in the gallery below. 50. The Scariest Straw Hat In History 49. Madonna, Right Tackle 48. Why I Quit Human Target on a (Somewhat) High Note

21 December 2010 9:48 PM, PST | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

I watched Human Target from the beginning. Well, really, I watched it even before the beginning -- I got an advance screener of the series premiere and reviewed it (a positive one, too!). I watched all through the first season and loved almost every minute of it. It is only regretfully that I admit, five episodes into the show's sophomore season, that I will no longer be watching Human Target.

Now, I've only seen three of the five aired episodes of the second season (episode 2.06 airs Wednesday night on Fox). I watched the first two episodes, then episode 2.04. The title of episode 2.03, "Taking Ames," was enough to dissuade me from watching that episode -- I hate the new character of Ames with a passion. Really, she's awful.

And that's the heart of the problem with Human Target's second season: there's too much change for change's sake. For instance, take the show's music. »

First Official Images from Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

9 December 2010 8:06 AM, PST | GeekTyrant | See recent GeekTyrant news »

Here are the first official images from Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. The film will further the adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow. In this film he sets out on a journey to find the fountain of youth.

The images come from USA Today who visited the set of the film. It was at this set visit that a few more details for the film have been revealed which you can read about below.

The king has already recruited Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) to join the mission, meaning Sparrow's old nemesis has gone corporate, 1750s-century style.

The proposal goes badly, as expected.

Along the road to the Fountain of Youth, Sparrow will meet a friendly mermaid (Astrid Berges-Frisbey) and be tempted by a wicked former flame (Penelope Cruz) and her sadistic father, Blackbeard (Ian McShane) — but there will be no Will and Elizabeth (Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley).

'Slumdog's Irrfan Khan Set as Second 'Spider-Man' Villain

3 December 2010 12:27 PM, PST | Rope of Silicon | See recent Rope Of Silicon news »

The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Marc Webb's Untitled Spider-Man Reboot has added a second villain to the fray in the form of Nels Van Adder to be played by Irrfan Khan whom most of you will remember as the Police Inspector from Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire.

I initially found nothing on the character in a search on the Internet, which may be due to the fact THR referred to the villain as "Van Atter" instead of what apparently should be "Van Adder." Nels Van Adder to be exact.

Based on information at The Green Goblin's Hideout, Van Adder was an employee of Osborn Industries and became a test subject for Norman Osborn (the character played by Willem Dafoe in the first Spider-Man feature) and as a result he turned into a demon-like monster the comics referred to as Proto-Goblin.

Seems like BBC America will be the place to park your tellys on during the holiday season this year.

After announcing that this year's Doctor Who Christmas Special, appropriately titled "A Christmas Carol," will air on Christmas Day, the same day as the U.K. broadcast, BBC America will give the U.S. audience the same treatment with the revival/season four premiere of Primeval, which will air on New Year's Day on both sides of the pond.

The new season of Primeval will pick up a year after the events of the third season cliffhanger that left fans in an uproar after the show was canceled. Well, thank God for second chances...

Here's a synopsis from the press release with a trailer to follow:

127 Hours

Directed by Danny Boyle

Written by Simon Beaufoy & Danny Boyle

USA / UK , 2010

How does one make a film about a man literally stuck in a rock?

In his follow-up to the immensely successful, Academy Award winning Slumdog Millionaire, Danny Boyle brings out a tour-de-force performance from James Franco in a powerful and compelling story of one man’s will to survive. Based on the true story of mountain climber Aron Ralston’s (Franco) remarkable adventure to save himself after after his right hand was crushed and trapped by a boulder during a freak accident in an isolated canyon in Utah, 127 Hours follows Ralston over the next five days as he examines his life and finds the courage to finally free himself by any means necessary.

Boyle, working with screenwriter Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire) carefully adapts Ralston’s memoir Between A Rock And A Hard Place without bending the truth too much. »

Some interesting new info has come to light regarding Angelina Jolie’s untitled directorial debut.  As we previously reported, the film is a love story set during the Bosnian War.  In an extensive interview with Vasarnapi Hirek [via The Playlist], Jolie says that while she shot the film in color, she’s considering having it transferred to black and white.  Said Jolie:

“It’s shot in color but it could transfer to black and white. We haven’t decided that. I can show you… we put a series of pictures together in black and white and it was beautiful. But the important thing is I want to make sure that we make a film for people who just want to go to the movies to watch a love story. To not be put off by anything that seems too heavy.
