The series that was also edited as a movie is completely fascinating!! It's absolutely faithful to Eça de Queiroz's book. The scenes make you feel like you're inside the book, inside the story. The characters in the movie perfectly match to the ones in the book.
Marília Pêra is brilliant in the role of Juliana. And so is Giulia Gam as Luíza and all the rest of the actors.
Simply perfect!! Worth seeing it, specially if you liked the book, even though it's more than 3-hour-long.
