The film starts out with a guy who looks like a mime tied up with strings like a puppet. Every move he makes is controlled by the unseen hand--way up in the sky. But the puppet wants to see his family and be free, so he rebels and pulls hard on the strings to loosen himself. At this point, a very heavy-handed anti-war and anti-America message appears. It's obvious the film maker is trying to send us a message but because it lacks subtlety, they lost me. Perhaps whether you like this or not will depend on your political leanings or if he love or detest the US. Either way, it still felt heavy-handed and lacked the subtlety that could have made this a better film.
