Early memorable Omnibus TV
tony-435-6698004 May 2014
I was born in 1947 and I remember watching the series with my Father when it was initially broadcast in 1952 and 1953.

Omnibus was a stellar series taking an eclectic approach to story themes in early broadcasting.

Mr. Lincoln, staring Royal Dano, is a chronological series; a clear, elegant, well acted studio production of Lincoln's life that would stand the test of time.

Playing Lincoln, Royal Dano personified the Lincoln that we knew from his Brady photographs. Dano's sonorous voice is so distinctive that it is easily identified an the follow-on roles he took. I just reviewed Dano's "gambler" role in "The Outlaw, Josie Wailes". Just a few lines, but memorable. An actors actor, distinctive yet a natural in the flow of the story line.

I hope that the studio will release the series as a testament to a skilled actor and the period.
