One of the best anime of all time

Kabamaru (also called Kagemaru) is a young boy raised and trained by his grandfather as a ninja. After the sudden death of his grandfather, he is taken to the city by Mrs Okubo, where he attends school. Master of the ninja mystical arts, he is asked to help out on struggles against other schools. As time passes he will make lots of friends as well as enemies, meet his childhood friend Hayate who was also trained by his grandfather as a ninja, and fall in love with Mrs Okubo's granddaughter, Mai.

This 1983 series is also known in some countries as Ninja Boy.

An old favourite of mine as well as of many anime fans of my country. Watching it today, brings back fond memories of my youth and makes me realize why I'm still an anime fan after all these years... Anime fan or not, this anime will surely touch your heart. In my opinion, this is one of the best examples of what anime is all about... It's all about great story, unique characters and amazing artwork(even after 2 decades)!
