Ryan's high school girlfriend is supposedly going to school in Seattle, Washington, but she has the school logo of the college in Pullman, Washington (over 200 miles away) on her dorm room door.

When Jennifer gets home after her dancing night out with Ryan, the burnt cookies that Amy made for Jennifer at least half an hour ago are still smoking.

When Hunter meets Jennifer in the library for the first time, Jennifer has a black headband and three barrettes in her hair (maroon, red, then blue). Once she steps outside with Ryan, the headband is gone and the barrettes are in a new order and without the blue one (red, red, then maroon).

Errors in geography 

When driving from Berkeley to the airport, they cross the Golden Gate Bridge. The bridge is in the opposite direction from all Bay Area airports.

Ryan's favorite place to go and think is on the Marin side of the Golden Gate Bridge. It is no where near the Berkeley Campus and cannot be reasonably walked to from there.

Factual errors 

Berkeley does not offer degrees in Latin or Structural Engineering (although Classics and Civil Engineering are options).

Plot holes 

There is no way that Jennifer and Amy, as college students, would be able to afford such an apartment in the Bay Area (especially in San Francisco, which is an illogical place to live for Berkeley students anyway).
