A tender story about friendship and hope
10 November 1999 | by (Buenos Aires, Argentina) – See all my reviews

It's in my view, an excelent independent movie, produced in Argentina. The story involves two unemployed, uneducated and peniless friends. In spite of everything, one of them is all hope and dreams. He dreams getting into the Guiness Book of Records for cycling non stop and trains hard for it. He has written to an International Cycling Federation who should control and accept the event; they have never answered. His friend is sceptical and "realistic". But the reply eventually arrives and so does the Federation's representative....

Technically correct, the film is well directed and acted with a story that reaches the heart, particularly in this age and in this part of the world where the poor and uneducated are lagging more and more behind.
