What's a fellow going to do when the girl he loves is head over heels in love with him and all that stands in the way of their happiness is the girl's father who thinks more of his money than he does of her future? Frank's proposals seem to do no more good than veiled ones and the young fellow is at his wits' end. Still, there is no use in leaving matters at a perfect standstill so he hits upon a scheme. Impressing a friendly policeman into the plot he fixes up a real sure enough robbery. With a home-made mask, and the policeman's revolver, he steals into the house and goes to the chest where his sweetheart's dad keeps his hoard. The old man comes upon him and throws him in, locks the chest and runs out for help, but as soon as he is gone the daughter liberates him and they both go out of the house. They manage to come upon the old man as he is begging the friendly policeman's aid and feigning surprise all three accompany him. The young fellow makes a brave show of daring in opening ...
