Trivia:
The cars' license plates in the film have very crude modifications to them. They're actually British Columbia plates (they say "Beautiful British Columbia") which is appropriate because the filming was in Vancouver, but they "Americanized" them simply by replacing "British Columbia" with "Evergreen State" (as seen on Ben's car). Of course, the Evergreen State is Washington, yet the plate design is obviously British Columbia's and even bears their flag. more
Goofs:
Continuity: In the beginning of the movie, Kacey gets upset at a player and has to sit out while the coach gives her a talk. She sits down on the bench while everyone scatters away and she is by herself. When the shot shows her front she is sitting alone, when the shot moves to her back you can see another jersey sleeve on the left indicating someone is sitting next to her. This happens a few times. more

Enjoyable family movie, 4 January 2005
10/10

Pleasantly surprised by Tyra's bubbly rendition of a doll's outlook and reaction to 'real life'. The situation of child angst and need for her mother can be handled seriously or lightly. Both help get the point across that in tough times, children need love and support. So what if it comes from a doll accidentally brought to life. The movie did not go too overboard on needing to correct the situation as other movies have. The doll's outlook on life based on infusion from commercial ditties and TV perfection helps to show the difference between TV and reality in a way kids can understand. Talk to you kids about this after the movie but enjoy Eve's bubbly attitude and style during the show.
