German TV films have proven much more than one time how effective could them be. The plot is not as different as many others but has some interesting elements in order to tell the premise; a female detective (an attractive, vulnerable middle-aged woman, not the usual kick-*ss vixen), her lesbian friend (there is some good sexy chemistry between the two ladies, but absolutely nothing explicit. Marion Mitterhammer is simply stunning in the role, I wonder how she hasn't landed at american releases yet) and the usual stud blamed for all the crimes and who, eventually, get involved with the police woman.
The story, despite the fact goes a bit slow, grabs the attention of the viewer and that makes it a well-done thriller; sometimes it reminded me "Basic Instinct" (not a "softcore" flick, although already has sex scenes and some brief nudity), most for the atmosphere and some serious twist near the end... no spoilers for this one, guys. O.K. is a TV made german film, but if you can, try to watch this one. Is a very good one.
