Hey now, about 40 years after James Bond came to the screen, we're getting this parody? Hmm, I think others did it much better long ago, but still, this is OK, if a bit stupid at times. Robert Donovan does a passable Bond, complete with the plummy accent and all, but this Bond is not burdened with a lot of smarts. His low budget collection of "gadgets" (tennis shoes, an alarm clock, a fountain pen that shoots ink if it's shaken) seem to serve him well, although "P" (as opposed to "O") has provided him with a more sophisticated gadget that accidentally gets switched at the airport check-in, and he ends up with some sexual charger that leads to lots of interesting situations. He flies to Prague where he meets up with 0013 who is posing as a whore, hmm, and unfortunately she has to keep up appearances when customers show up. The villianess is the evil Tangerina, who appears in one scene in a freshly painted outfit ("Don't touch me, I'm not dry yet"). Anyway, there's lots of sex and lots of silliness, all pretty low budget. This is enjoyable to an extent but it never goes any further than it has to for cheap laughs. Maybe with a bigger budget it could have been a real hoot, but as it stands it was a passable pastime and nothing more. Maybe Trey Parker & Matt Stone should give this genre a whirl. 5 out of 10 stars.
