With stories about pedophiles and violent video games this is one of the worst news magazine shows in Canada. CTV has become more and more Americanized, following the lead of networks like CNN and FOX News and shows like Dateline NBC and the Today Show. There's nothing interesting in this show at all, it's nothing more than a device to get more viewers with sensational stories. A better news magazine would be the one attached to CBC's evening news and CBC Newsworld offers better full length documentaries on The Passionate Eye. These programs actually offer insightful non-biased views on political and social issues where as the CTV program W5 is completely biased and sensational. The program on pedophiles offered spooky music and horrible narration. It's safe to say that the inspiration for this kind of yellow journalism is the US networks like NBC, ABC and cable network CNN.
