Goofs

The dialog has someone saying "Set the missile to detonate at 32,000 feet" - but the computer graphic on the monitor shows it set to detonate at "32.000 miles above sea level." That height (32 miles) would be too far up to cause significant damage - it is beyond most of the atmosphere. It is also more than 160,000 feet, not 32,000 feet. See more »

Y2K humbug
17 October 1999 | by (Adelaide, South Australia) – See all my reviews

Why they called this movie Y2K is beyond me! What starts out as promising loses a lot as the movie winds on. The plot and the acting is slightly second rate and I found that by the end the countdown did not engage the viewer. Tying the plot to a Columbian drug lord at the end was just too much. Passable.
