New My Bloody Valentine 3D TV Spot! Will A Theater Near You Have It In 3D?!

23 December 2008 6:59 AM, PST | iconsoffright.com | See recent Icons of Fright news »

Lionsgate has provided us with a brand new TV spot for My Bloody Valentine 3D. (Ironically, the TV spot runs a full minute, which is longer then the 40 second 2nd theatrical trailer.) Regardless, you can check out Both below. (See 'em in high quality over on our newly launched You Tube page: www.youtube.com/iconsoffright)

The real question... will You be able to see My Bloody Valentine in 3D? According to an article in The New York Times, My Bloody Valentine will only play on 900 screens in 3D across the country. 1600 screens will show the traditional 2D version. If successful, hopefully theaters will upgrade their equipment for future 3D fare like Final Destination: Death Trip 3D and Piranha 3D. The article's pretty interesting overall. Check it out Here!

This Week On DVD and Blu-ray: December 27, 2008

23 December 2008 12:46 AM, PST | Rope of Silicon | See recent Rope Of Silicon news »

DVD Links: DVD News | Release Dates | New Dvds | Reviews | RSS Feed This is obviously going to be a limited week in terms of news and information and this week's DVD releases continue the trend as the following DVDs release on December 27 and obviously aren't today's releases as the Christmas holiday has thrown a kink in the release dates which is why Death Race, Burn after Reading, Hamlet 2 and American Teen all hit DVD on Sunday the 21st. For my take on those releases click here for last week's rundown. As for this week we have a group of three Paramount releases, which will them be followed by a more traditional week on December 30. Eagle Eye Eagle Eye is one of those films that may play a lot better at home than it did in the theaters, since it has one of the dumbest plots ever conceived. Films like this »

First Official Images From Final Destination 4

14 December 2008 10:00 PM, PST | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

Final Destination doesn't get as much publicity as big horror franchises like Saw, but it's quietly soldiered along, making solid money with every outing until here we are, on Final Destination 4. At least it's not torture porn. It's more like sudden death porn. I'm not sure if that's better or worse, but I'll cop to having had a lot of fun with the previous three Final Destination films. The fourth movie will be the first one in 3D, and Warner Bros has just released the first two images from the film... which are not in 3D so put those cardboard glasses down. The two new images are below, and seem to be showcasing the new ways in which they'll be killing people for this one. Judging from the stills, you can expect death by rain drops and death by flaming escalator. Sounds like fun, at least as far as dying »

At the end of the year, every movie studio releases a preview of their following year’s slate of films and today is the day to see what Warner Bros. has coming in 2009. As you look over the list, you’ll see a few movies that were scheduled to have already been released like “Whiteout”, “Where the Wild Things Are”, “The Box”, even “Harry Potter” was supposed to have been released last month. While it’s usually a bad sign when a movie get pushed back…I’m really hoping that isn’t the case with these films as I can’t wait to see three out of the four…. Anyway, since there are a ton of images and info below, enough words from me. Just know all of the images can be clicked on for a high resolution version. Look for other studios to release previews of 2009 very soon. »
