I know what you're going through, but let me take care of it.

Well, for Scream Queen Debbie Rochon fans this is a major disappointment, as we only heard her voice doing some kind of interrogation of a funeral home director who cremated two bodies at once. What was that all about? Anyway, we then get four stories of varying degrees of horror that don't seem to be connected at all. The first isn't, in fact, horrible at all.

The second, about a serial killer, also fails to rise to the level of horror. It was mostly creepy, but the serial killer just turned me off. I looked so homemade that it could have been a high school film project.

Scream Queen Kimberly Lynn Cole believes her best friend is a vampire and after her. Well, if Dawn DuVurger was my best friend, she could bite my neck any time. No, there is no lesbian action, this is straight vampire lust.

If you didn't get enough of DuVurger, just check out the extras and you get to see her doing several takes of her scenes - all nude, of course.

The final installment is the result of mixing those ashes, and it is a slasher bit that really takes a long time. Scream Queen Lilith Stabs makes an appearance here as a witch who is unaware that those ashes are not pure. Too bad, she is the first to go. And then, on to the rest in a creepy way again. Minimal blood, but a good head crush. It was save by a great bathtub scene with Rebecca Allen.

An uneven mix of tales with great nudity that makes it watchable, but not worth recommending. A criminal waste of Debbie Rochon and Lilith Stabs.

Good for storytelling but whats the point?

I don't understand why they have this goof in a room being interrogated by a guy thats accused of cremating the wrong ashes and sending them to the families in whom these ashes are supposed to belong to sitting there telling stories that have nothing to do with cremating. Anyway, there are four stories that are told and the first one and the second being my favorites. I won't get into detail, it would take forever but by the end of the movie I just don't see why this guy is guilty after telling a few ghost stories, one reminds me of Jeffry Dahmer. It's an ok film but it's typical todays films.

Well it has all of the ingredients of a good horror movie...Right?

I bought this DVD based on faith and my undying love of horror flicks. What I got was a no-budget mixed bag. The way that the film was shot adds a very lucid almost dream-like glaze over the scenes...This makes some of the darker scenes pretty creepy yet there are no real scary moments in the film...

"THE S&M KILLER"-Not much to this story...A whole lot of bad acting even for a B-movie...and a bound-up nude woman...3

"CONFESSIONS"-This is the root of the movie...The story from which others branch off from...This one concerns a man questioned by his own demons(That's my thoughts anyway)This story is my favorite it's a little better acted than the rest...7

"THE TOWN"-This creepy little short makes a statement about parental relationships and town sacrifices...4

"VAMPIRES"-One would think that this story would hold a special place in my heart seeing as I am a single young man...While I appreciate the vampire striptease the acting was just too horrible to stomach...2-(10-and major kudos go to the nude vampire for the best acting in the story)

"THE CREMAINDER" Ah, Here's where we pay off the confessions story...This final piece concerns a raised demon with a hat and long coat killing random people with a sword one of them being...?-1

MY FINAL SCORE:07

This movie has all the ingrediants of good horror movie right?

VIOLENCE/GORE-Very little

LANGUAGE-NONE

SEX/NUDITY-One nude vampire, one bound-up nude woman, one strung up woman with an open shirt(Wearing a bra)

CREEPY SETTINGS-One story "The Town"

You decide...but personally I don't hate it nor do I love it...

Rent it for fun only...

"Cremains" is a poor man's poor man's B-movie. In fact, it is a C, D or E-movie with poor storytelling, even poorer acting and filmed on your Uncle Charlie's borrowed video camera. The second vignette - "The Ride" for a better name - is the only redeeming piece in the whole film, with an interesting story twist and a single believable psychotic. The final catch ending of this celluloid schlock is disappointing and not even 4 minutes of nudity can redeem this movie that looks more like a high-school film project than anything that was financed. Don't waste your money buying this piece of lackluster horror. Rent it for fun, but don't purchase it for your collection as its "cremains" will remain on your shelf - covered in dust - for a very long time.

About time video outlaw starts releasing DVD's
bozotheripper5 February 2002
This movie may not be for most, unless your a gore b-horror fan. This movie is split up into stories being told by a man whos fate is being decided. The first story was a short one about the serial killer killing a woman he had tied up. The second story involved sacrification of a girl who gets strangled by a snake. The third story was a serial killer killing a suicidal teenager boy. The fourth and one of my favorite is the lesbian vampire. And last and the best the ressurection gone wrong, bringing forth the cremator. His face is a rotting skeleton. He basically kills everyone in his bath. My favorite killing on his was the braincrushing sequence where he ran over the guys head.I thought it was a disappointment that he died by getting his head blown off. If you find this movie get it, the skeleton faced guy is on the cover of the tape and youll see that he looks wicked.

well what do you expect?

Well what do you expect? Art? It is a horror film that went directly to DVD (ok VHS than DVD) Well yes it is a B movie(well maybe a B minus)it holds a special place in my heart. Mostly because I know the director and my wife is in the film(i'll never tell which lady she is ;) The film was Steve's first real attempt at film directing and it does kind of show. Okay no "kind of" but it was filmed entirely in south Mississippi and has locations that no longer exist thanks to Katrina. Anyways don't expect an Evil Dead kind of first film but for all that well... I've seen a LOT of worse films (Razorblade Smile anyone?)Give it a chance and it'll give you at least a laugh. Oh and by the way the blond in the last story is no a respected local news anchor who prays daily that no one knows it is her(chuckle)

A wonderful low budget anthology film.

Cremains is honestly one of the best independent horror films that I ever had the pleasure of viewing! All the stories were dark and terrifying. My two fads among them are the story with Jeff Dylan Graham, who played a suicidal teenager, who accepts a ride from someone who isn't exactly who he appears to be. Jeff did a wonderful bringing his character alive, and making you sympathize with him. The other that I dug a lot was the story with Lilith Stabs, as a witch who brings a grieving mothers child back to life, and ending up regretting she had not. That story was the most terrifying and suspenseful out of all of them. It had an overwhelming feeling of dread and foreboding. Steve Sessions did a wonderful job paying homage to TALES FROM THE CRYPT. Personally, I think its better then TALES FROM THE CRYPT. So, give this movie a look, it's definitely worth it!
