Brings back memories of "MMC"
27 May 2012 | by (Ladson, SC) – See all my reviews

I was searching on You Tube for two MMC movies: this, and "My Life as a Babysitter". To my surprise, I found "Secret Bodyguard". I was amazed any of these were on the site. But I didn't find the babysitter movie, or any others. Anyway, "Secret Bodyguard" is a mix of martial arts and your usual teenager movie, which isn't at all surprising for a Mickey Mouse Club movie. If you watch General Hospital, you'll recognize Steve Burton, as, of course, the kid who has nothing better to do than pick on poor Ernie and his friend. The movie is of course, obvious and predictable every step of the way, but also very enjoyable, even though I have no interest in watching martial arts. The movie does represent something of an after- school special.
