Alpha House, which was written by Academy Award nominee and Pulitzer Prize-winner Garry Trudeau and produced by Trudeau, Elliot Webb and Jonathan Alter, is a comedy about four misfit senators (John Goodman, Clark Johnson, Matt Malloy and Mark Consuelos) who rent a house together in Washington D.C. The roomies are joined by Cynthia Nixon (Sex and the City), Amy Sedaris (Strangers with Candy), Wanda Sykes (Curb Your Enthusiasm), and Julie White (Go On), who share in the outrageous—and sometimes all-too-real—follies of Washington politics.
"The first season is about the fight for survival among incumbent Republican senators first elected in the pre-Tea Party era. Even though they’re all solidly conservative, three of »

Adam Cayton-Holland, Andrew Orvedahl, and Ben Roy, the co-writers and stars behind Amazon’s new original pilot, Those Who Can’t, recently sat down with one another in Adam’s living room in Denver, Colorado to talk about their show, which is now available for free on Amazon Instant Video. It went a little something like this:
Adam: So I’ll start with the first question: Who are you guys and what are you doing in my house?
Andrew: Adam, it’s us. Your early-onset dementia is getting the better of you again.
Ben: Alright, are you guys excited about the premiere of Those Who Can’t?
Adam Screams Unintelligibly.
Andrew: I’m very excited. … I don’t know what the average daily visitor count to Amazon’s website is but I’d imagine it’s quite a few. To think of that many people being able to watch our »
Don’t get us wrong — we’ve got no beef with Seth Meyers. His wry delivery is perfect for Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update, and he’s written plenty of classic sketches, including last fall’s masterful Louie/Lincoln parody.
But when word broke that NBC will supposedly bring in Meyers to host Late Night once Jimmy Fallon decamps for The Tonight Show, we couldn’t help meeting the news with a noncommittal shrug. Sure, he’d be a fine man for the job, and God knows SNL could use some new blood in its writers room. At the same time, »

Humorist, comedienne, actress, and general funny person Amy Sedaris is the latest actress to take a stab at web video. The Strangers With Candy star has delivered a memorable turn in a guest appearance on F to 7th, a lesbian-centered web series from creator Ingrid Jungermann. Sedaris' appearance comes in the series' fourth episode, with four more coming to complete a full season. She appears as Kate, the aunt of Jungermann's eponymous protagonist. As the pair share a meal, Kate launches a series of inapt remarks regarding lesbianism, Pda, and her own sex life. She's a caricature of the inappropriate way in which many people approach discussions of the Lgbt lifestyle, reaching this parody by way of the boozy aunt who has had one too many drinks. If you need an example of such a person, just pay extra close attention at your next Thanksgiving. Jungermann, to her credit, does »

The eight-episode web series "F To 7th" from Ingrid Jungermann (co-creator of award-winning web series "The Slope") follows Ingrid's descent into lesbian middle age as she struggles with her old fashioned lesbianism in a modern world of gender and sexuality. This week's episode, "Family," guest stars Amy Sedaris ("Strangers With Candy") as Kate, Ingrid's wild, straight-talking aunt. After Kate clarifies that she has no problem with gays, but just prefers not to watch them make out, she recalls a Vegas memory of girls with "tight buns and a terrific set of pointers." "You know if I were gay I'd be an ass lady," Kate says as she aggressively licks the salt off the rim of her margarita glass. Ingrid quietly endures Kate's hilarious yet offensive commentary throughout the episode as Amy entertains for the whole four and a half minutes. Watch the episode below and check out the rest of the series. »

But when Amadeo's foosball skills are challenged by the best foosball player in the world, he has a chance to impress Laura.or fail miserably.
