Why was this show cancelled you ask? Could it be that the comment makers here on this site pretty much made up its ENTIRE viewing audience. It was given the best lead in program a cable show could have (a show that was, is, has has continuously been the highest rated cable show every week), and yet the droppoff in viewers from its lead-in to the show itself was steeper than Mount Everest. Perhaps because it was the most brain dead show ever created and viewers finally showed some sense to stay away.
