With another band (Come) waiting for him at the airport, he goes on the run with hopes of shaking out some cash that never comes. An American Poet in Spain
12 October 1999 | by (Cork, Ireland) – See all my reviews

Having just come back from a holiday in Spain, the main pleasure this film had to offer was recognising obscure scenery. It's a pity, because this film has some good ideas which could have been executed better with a bigger budget and a more polished script. It's basically a variant on the touring indie band movie with the variant that the main protagonist is a female Greenwich performance poet in Macho Spain. I don't want to print any spoilers, but the film has a tragic momentum to it that might tempt people to label it predictable.
