Young, bright and cheerful

Warning: Spoilers
SPRING BLOSSOMS is a young, bright and cheerful Shaw Brothers movie which mixes together all of their popular sub-genres from the era, including melodrama, familial conflict, romance and music. A bright and cheery young cast work their way through a traditional and old-fashioned storyline about the course of young love and the dips and turns it takes towards completion. A few familiar faces prop up the cast, including a youthful Lily Li, but this is a completely different world from Shaw's better-known action epics.
