Forgivness is not always the answer
thedocent3 July 2019
Very underrated Soviet drama movie that depicts a very sensitive and important history in the Soviet history - World War II. The main hero of this movie loses all his family in war and horrifying memories starts to haunt him, when to the village returns Shishka - a local man, who served to the Nazi Germany in the war and was involved in the murder.

Often movies present a clear answer about forgiveness - to forgive or not. However, here this topic is not as simple as it might look. Movie brings up an important question - does everyone deserves a forgiveness for their evil deeds?

Vladimir Gostyukhin plays the main hero and he truly deserves 10/10 for this movie. He successfully carries the pain and tensions of his character throughout the movie.
