Stability is the key........
3 October 2003 | by (LA, USA) – See all my reviews

As a loyal Jean Claude Van Damme fan, I am starting to get a little excited. This is because Replicant precedes the Order, which means this is the first time in almost a decade that Van Damme has made two good movies consecutively. Its nice to know that he may very well be getting back on track. Now, about this movie, well all I can say is that although it is not fantastic, it is good enough to get a passing grade. Van Damme stars as Rudy, a thief but also legitimate business man "import/export" who travels to Israel to search for his father yet at the same time uncover a much bigger plot that is about to shake the world. Within all this, we get a lot of classic Van Dammage (as someone earlier stated) .....some nice moves, funny one liners, friends to help out, some mean and fascinating (which means funny at times) villains ....basically a lot of the keys that have made some of JCVD's earlier movies so great. (Sheldon Lettich is directing this one and Van Damme has credit writing it, recall anything? Yes, its the team that brought to life his best movie ever, Double Impact)

Those who bash this one are not JCVD fans (I am talking about the real fans who appreciate the Kickboxer, LionHeart, Double Impact days).......thus, this one will satisfy those fans.
